Encontrar imprensa escrita especializada em música que se faz para além daquilo que as cooperates tentam enfiar goela abaixo já é difícil. Mas foda-se, encontrá-lo com pinta, bom design, bem escrito e com distribuição gratuita é do caralho. E aqui em Londres, nem me sei para onde virar com tanta coisa boa disponível. Vira exemplo número um: Loud & Quiet. Eis como se auto-definem:

Loud And Quiet is an independent free monthly music paper, which concentrates on promoting new bands and artists.

We aim to feature bands first, to extents not seen in mainstream press. To date, artists that have appeared on our cover before anywhere else include The Horrors, Foals, Black Lips. Crystal Castles, Arctic Monkeys, Patrick Wolf, The Maccabees and Metronomy, to name a few.

Our belief is that all great bands were without record deals at one point and all genres of music – however obscure its creators – deserve our attention. At the same time, we don’t feel that major artists are beneath us because they’ve been in NME, on Radio 1 or sold more than 500 records. It’s simple: if we like it, we’ll feature it.
