I must admit, all this talk about ‘The News of The World’ over the past few days has made for entertaining, albeit sickening, news. But it’s not everyday in one’s life the one gets to witness the death of the world’s most successful English-language newspaper. And a newspaper, though ashamed I may be to admit it, that was a constant presence in my life as a kid.
In the same morbid way we sometimes slow down on the motorway to check-out an accident, I know where I’ll be spending £1 on Sunday.
